Polytherm is at the forefront of innovation.
Our air conditioning systems respond satisfactorily to the current market demand, adapting to new trends and a more environmentally conscious society.
For the next article we will tell you all about underfloor heating in a building, why it is the most efficient and the most energy saving.
What is a building air-conditioning system?
There are other air-conditioning systems designed for single-family homes, new builds, renovations, etc. But for buildings, there is another system to totally air-condition the internal structure of the building.
The T.A.B.S. system (Thermally Active Building System) is the air conditioning system with the highest degree of comfort currently available for buildings, as the system takes advantage of the thermal inertia offered naturally by the concrete, through the incorporation of the pipe circuits in the building structure, allowing energy savings of between 25% and 80% compared to traditional systems.
How does the air conditioning system for buildings work?
The system ensures that the texture of the building maintains a stable temperature in summer as well as in winter, and as a consequence also the indoor room temperature.
The same air-conditioning generators are used to supply energy to the structural network: air, water or geothermal; used in the air-conditioning network during periods when the installations are not in use. In this way the installed power can be reduced as the thermal loads during the hours of occupation are lower due to the energy stored in the building structure.
To maximize the efficiency of this system, the design of the façade insulation and slab edges is very important.
