Minitherm, AUNA Awards Finalist
Once again this year we are participating in the AUNA Awards, where the best electrical, plumbing, air conditioning and heating products of the year are selected.
Thus presenting, in this seventh edition, our underfloor heating system Minitherm, special for renovations and with a large number of features that make the product, without a doubt, a clear competitor in the three categories in which it participates; best product of the year, most innovative product and most sustainable product, having been finalists in the latter category pending the election of the winner and semi-finalists in the other two categories.
Why the Minitherm cooling/heating system?
A renovation is the best opportunity to replace the existing air-conditioning system with a more economical and efficient one.
At Polytherm, we have a hot/cold underfloor heating system specifically for renovations, which, in addition to all the advantages that underfloor heating offers, this system is developed and designed for installations where height is a handicap for common systems, but for our Minitherm hot/cold system it is an opportunity thanks to its reduced thickness of only 2 centimeters. It can also be installed on the existing floor, which makes it compatible with any home.
reformas. With this system, not only is it possible to provide your home with an ideal temperature all year round, without draughts or cold areas, but it can also reduce the economic cost in the renovation phase thanks to its compatibility and adaptation to the conditions, in many cases reducing the volume of work to be carried out. On the other hand, the proximity of the installation to the floor surface minimizes the inertia and thermal resistance of the cladding, thus reducing the water supply temperature to below 30ºC and achieving energy savings of up to 40% with maximum comfort. Because of this and all the advantages it offers, it is the only air conditioning system recommended by the WHO, now compatible with renovations.
Innovation and sustainability
For Polytherm, innovation and sustainability are two fundamental pillars, from the production process to the final performance of the systems, including the products that make them up.
The Minitherm underfloor heating system integrates both characteristics to perfection thanks to the combination of an ecological fibre-gypsum board and a 5-layer tube as a benchmark in the market for its innovation, with a production process with OCS environmental certification certified by AENOR.
The system as a whole leads as an innovative and sustainable air-conditioning system for renovations due to its low thickness, high compatibility, high efficiency and the elements it is composed of..
Our Minitherm panels are fiber-gypsum panels, a mixture of gypsum and cellulose fibers from recycled paper, being an ecological product due to its natural components without the addition of additives and with cellulose from previously recycled paper.
Finally integrating our Evohflex-5-layer pipe, innovative and efficient thanks to its five-layer composition, with an intermediate EVOH coating that reduces oxygen absorption in the pipe and an external protection layer to prevent deterioration of the EVOH layer when it comes into contact with mortar, ambient humidity or in its own installation. Thanks to this combination, we extend the life of the pipe, improve its performance, prevent deterioration of the system and its components and keep the water cleaner for longer.
Committed to the environment, our production process is OCS certified, a voluntary plan for the plastics industry certified by AENOR that aims to prevent primary microplastics from ending up in the sea by complying with the following conditions:
- Making ‘zero pellet losses’ a priority
- Assessing the situation and needs of each company
- Make the necessary improvements to installations and equipment.
- Raising employee awareness and creating a sense of responsibility
- Monitor and enforce compliance with procedures.
For Polytherm, being environmentally responsible is not an objective, it is a reality and a principle of development to be able to provide sustainable air conditioning solutions and instilling a responsible culture. Starting with the production processes and continuing with the materials used, final products, ending with the performance of the underfloor heating systems which, thanks to their efficiency and low consumption, reduce energy consumption.
A reality made possible thanks to the high awareness of the entire Polytherm team.
In Polytherm, we have more than 40 years of experience in underfloor heating, do not hesitate to contact us more information or request a study of your installation thanks to our professional technical team.
