Special additives for the care of underfloor heating systems
Polytherm Systems can help you to keep your installation clean of sludge and debris that can damage the elements of the air conditioning installation.
For this purpose we have several special additives of which we recommend the following:
- THERMODOS -R, this additive is used to keep your installation clean. It is mainly used for closed circuit installations such as underfloor heating. Older installations accumulate dirt, especially on the surface of metal parts, pumps, valves, etc. This dirt reduces the exchange capacity and thus the energy efficiency.
In some cases, it reduces the flow at the control valves, causing the zones to malfunction.
This additive is a descaler suitable for closed heating or air conditioning circuits, which allows a thorough cleaning of all surfaces, thus optimizing the performance of the system. Afterwards, it is necessary to remove all the water and refill the circuit with clean water. 
- THERMODOS-L, is a molybdenum-based additive, with which we obtain a protective anti-corrosion layer on the metal parts of the installation. This keeps the circuit cleaner and more efficient for longer. It is most effective when added to new installations together with the filling water. It can also be added to older installations that have been previously cleaned with Thermodos-R.
This additive helps to regulate the pH of the water and its dosage is 1 litre for every 200 litres of water in the circuit.
- THERMODOS- PLUS, aumenta el pH de la instalación. Es necesario según el RITE controlar el pH del agua en circuitos cerrados de calefacción y climatización. Un pH inferior a 7 (agua ácida) provoca una elevada corrosión de los metales, ensuciando el circuito y reduciendo la vida útil de los distintos elementos.
- THERMODOS- MINUS, lowers the pH of the installation. Recommended when the pH is above 8 (alkaline water). A high pH causes deposits and incrustations on the metal parts of the circuit, reducing their exchange capacity and the efficiency of the system.
All these additives help to keep your installation in perfect condition.
